Our very own Black Hills-billy

Marvin Barry

Mr. Marvin Barry brings fun and excitement with his banjo pickin’ through dinner; thrilling audiences with his skill, humor, and life stories.  Mr. Barry is a long-time hill dweller with roots to the Native peoples.  He has played with many legendary artists including Earl Scruggs, and has performed on “The Bachelor.” Clap, sing, or stomp your feet, but we challenge you to stay still while Marvin performs.

Entertaining Black Hills folks & visitors for years

Familiar looking character?  Potato Creek Johnny, famed for finding the largest gold nugget to come out of the creeks.  See the real grand nugget at the Adam’s House Museum right here in Deadwood!

Marvin Barry, Potato Creek Johnny ringer, grew up locally and in his “youth” played Potato Creek Johnny in the annual Days of ’76 Parade held during Days of ’76 celebration each summer to celebrate the founding of Deadwood.

We are on occasion very privileged and proud to have Hawkeye provide his own brand of old west entertainment and humor.  He performs all the old great cowboy tunes.  A born entertainer, Hawkeye is a great fit in Deadwood, he even played the character, Hawkeye, in the HBO hit series “Deadwood”

His talents have earned him many accolades. 3X World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider, 5X Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame recipient, Pro Rodeo T.V. announcer, Saddle Bronc Riding School Owner, and all ’round nice guy!

“Ride ’em Cowboy!”
